Founded in 2004, the Abhyaas Montessori House of Children was formerly known as Abhyaas Play Home. However, after completing Montessori training and working in a Montessori setting, I had a newfound appreciation for what a child could accomplish when given the freedom. As Maria Montessori states, “Human development is practically possible only through freedom and environmental experience.” “Release the child’s potential, and the world will change him.” I converted my pretend house into a Montessori House for Kids. I feel that I have succeeded in my mission when I watch the kids flourish in this carefully designed setting.
